You Don’t Need Coconut Oil For That, Girl!

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

Sooooo….I’ve seen a ton of memes that say something regarding coconut oil solving all problems…like the ones I’ve posted below….hence the title of this blog. LOL!

Now, if all these were true, there would be a coconut oil shortage and a lot of grease stains EVERYWHERE! The news headline would say, “City in uproar as women pour coconut all over EVERYTHANG!!!” Lol. Uhhh….anyhoo…..

Actually, the title came to me while in prayer today…..yes…..prayer! I’d gone up to the church to pray, and as God spoke to me, right before I got up, He said (literally) “Your hair will grow (I told the Lord I want BIG hair…lol), your car will be paid off, your job will be amazing, and I got your bills; and you don’t need no coconut oil for any of that!” Laugh! I did, just like He knew I would. Jesus knows we need a good laugh sometimes, and He knows just how to make it happen.  The kicker is, I’m allergic to the stuff so it causes me more problems than it’s even worth.  Lol.

But…..

Okay…okay…we joke about “pouring” coconut oil and such on all of our life’s problems, but what if we “poured” The Blood over everything?  And I mean EVERYTHING!  Jesus shed His own blood so that would be saved….redeemed.  “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Hebrews 9:12)

What if we would just let Jesus fix it like we tell everyone else to do?  There’s an old song that says, “Jesus will fix it for you, for He knows just what to do…”  He KNOWS what to do, y’all!  And here we are, living this life, feeling our way around instead of letting God show us the way.  We’re stressing about how and when and He already promised to supply ALL of our needs.

What if we REALLY trusted Him like we say we do???  “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5  He is waiting on us to actually let go of the situation so that He can pick it up.  God isn’t going to play tug-of-war with you and your problems.  Nu uh!  He’s gonna let you decide whether or not you actually WANT Him to do it this time or if you want to give it another “college try”.  “Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.”  (Psalms 115:11)

Pour your heart out to God and trust Him with it.  We spill all our beans t

o friends that can’t solve our issues, encourage us to “go off” on everybody and “they mama”, and give bad relationship advice (cause they DON’T know), yet we don’t take the time to speak to the God of all; the God that keeps and comforts us when nobody else can.  “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” (Psalms 118:8)  Lay it at His feet and STOP picking it back up again.

Trust Him…He’ll make you laugh, fix your problems, fight your battles, grow your hair, and all WITHOUT coconut oil!  HA! Now, that’s the God I serve!!!  😉

“And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they trust in him.” (Psalms 37:40)

Okay…that’s my blurb.  Goodnight….I think.  Get some sleep…no need for you to stay awake all night worrying when God’s got the night shift.  “He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.” (Psalms 121:3, NLT)

Love y’all!  (I really do!)
